"According to Mourinho, 'It can be said that this was a match within two matches. In the initial phase, Roma led in every department. However, for a brief twenty minutes, Real Madrid were unstoppable. They caught us off guard in the opening minutes with their deployment of Suarez on the flank, creating a numerical advantage. We conceded a laughably absurd goal, which is unacceptable in a match of this caliber. After falling behind 3-1, perhaps for everyone, the match had ended, but for Roma's players, it was just the beginning. Playing with such intensity and style is quite challenging. We made some substitutions, and the difference between four and five goals conceded was negligible. Meanwhile, they were unable to keep pace with our relentless offensive surge.'"
